Course Description  
This program will help participants start to understand the big picture of a professional Design/Build company. The class will focus on the lead carpenters roles, responsibilities and interaction with the customers. Discovering the eight systems as it relates to the lead carpenter and field crew will allow the company to communicate and develop better practices.

Course outline:
Week 1 Gatekeeper system. What’s that!
Week 2 Sales system. Who like change orders?
Week 3 Design system. Who drew these plans!
Week 4 Financial system. Are we making or losing money on this project?
Week 5 Personnel system. Do we have the right people working with us?
Week 6 Communication system. Let’s call the boss again!
Week 7 Production system. What does each system have to produce for production?
Week 8 Marketing system. No marketing, no projects.
Week 9. How to use the gatekeeper.
Week 10. Selling change orders and getting the money.
Week 11. Training the Design Professional to sit, fetch and stay put!
Week 12. Providing financial information that the company needs.
Week 13. The company culture.
Week 14. How not to communicate like a caveman.
Week 15. Producing more than a wall.
Week 16. Marketing at the neighbor’s fence.
